橘玉

臥佛，右脅而臥，重迭左足於右足上，猶如獅子而正睡眠。十方諸佛同臥，歷代祖師同臥，此臥可令身心安穩，不起惡夢等等，最為吉祥，故名吉祥臥。

本尊臥佛現孩童狀，令得見者觀想自己如孩童般安樂入眠，亦於安樂中醒來，身心猶如日之初升，欣欣向榮。

The Buddha reclines on his right side with his left foot overlapping on the right one, resembling a sleeping lion. The reclining pose symbols the practice of Buddhism together with the Buddhas of all directions and the patriarchs of different epochs. The auspicious pose could ensure people a peaceful mood and protect them from nightmares, thus it is known as the auspicious reclining pose.

his sculpture of reclining Buddha is in a childlike shape. While looking at it, the Buddha will guide the viewer into the mediation that he or she is sleeping peacefully and happily like a child, and later wakes up from the sound sleep, which refreshes the viewer and endows he or she with the quality of the rising sun, being thriving and flourishing.
