樓梯間轉角佛龕以“為佛像打造居所”的意望，在形式上參考了印度水廟階梯的構造，在儀式感上根據寺廟中佛像位於高臺的意境打造了四面層層進退、以佛像為中心的視覺延伸感。

在當代語境之下，蔣家班願所造佛像能夠以大眾化的姿態進入家居空間，故佛龕不僅為佛像居所，同時融入家具、燈具的角色，從材質、顏色均采用接近光源的設置；此外，不可見的光源存在於每一道“進退”之中，在被結構“分割”後呈現出溫和散射，加之可觸碰調節的光源，以便配適於不同的場景及意境，進一步拉近人與佛像之間的關系。

The niche at the intersection of staircases has been created with the intention of “building a dwelling for the Buddhist statue”. With reference to the stairs of a waterside temple in India, it is presented in a form resembling a flight of steps in four directions. Inspired by the scenario of an imposing Buddhist statue on the pedestal in the temple, the Buddhist statue is placed at the center of the niche to offer an extended and prolonged visual perception of the Buddha.

Jiangjiaban hopes that the Buddhist statue we made could fit into modern household spaces in a popular manner. In this sense, we believe that the niche is more than a dwelling for the Buddhist statue, and it could also serve the role as a piece of furniture or a lamp. That’s why we selected materials and colors close to the light. Benefited from the terrace-style structure, the Buddhist statue could be enveloped by gentle light, as if there were “invisible” lights in every “step”. Along with touch lights featuring adjustable brightness, the niche is ideal for different scenes and contexts, helping mankind to approach to the Buddhist statue.
