本尊造像靈感源於日本非宗教場所常見的地藏菩薩像。在日本，地藏菩薩乃兒童的守護神，因有守子、安子、育子、持子的功用而廣受尊崇。本尊地藏菩薩像以孩童形式呈現，雕工簡練，整體造像散發著親切、和樂與安詳，現一團舒和氣象。

This work is inspired by the Ksitigarbha sculptures in various Japanese nonreligious sites. Ksitigarbha, as the guardian of children, is widely worshiped in Japan for he protects and nourishes kids. In a concise childlike presentation, this sculpture of Ksitigarbha is amicable, harmonious and serene.
