蔣家班造琉璃持蓮觀音坐像

觀世音菩薩爲西方三聖之一，是大慈悲的象征。持蓮觀音雙手執持一莖蓮華，彎曲的枝條末梢上有未開散的蓮蕊。

此尊觀音像頭戴寶冠，寶冠中間安有一化佛，頭發向後梳起，額部飽滿，五官端正，唇邊隱隱含笑，牽動兩頰與眉眼。觀音頸帶項紋，胸膛厚實高聳，身披袈裟，衣裙線條刻畫絲絲入微，胸前垂挂璎珞，體態沈靜，氣韻端莊，身後刻飾火焰型背光，光明無量。造像施以琉璃材質，更顯莊嚴華貴。

As one the Three Saints of the West, Avalokitesvara stands for great mercy. He holds a lotus flower waiting to bloom on the top of the curved stem. The Saint has his hair plaited with a braid to the shoulders at both sides. With the cloth of fine gossamer and the flame-like glory in the back, the Bodhisattva is indeed an embodiment of infinite light and extraordinary peacefulness. The statue is made of colored glaze, and you may feel that it is quite exquisite and crystalline.
