藥師佛為東方淨琉璃世界之教主，系救度眾生疾病苦難的如來。民間多向藥師佛祈求消災延壽。

本尊蔣家班造藥師佛儀態莊嚴，著褒衣博帶式袈裟，全跏跌坐於方型底座上，右手持藥訶子，左手托藥缽。面部慈祥端厚，表情自然恬靜，螺髻微微隆起，肩胸飽滿。因藥師佛所住凈琉璃世界，地為凈琉璃所敷，城闕宮殿皆由七寶構成，國土莊嚴極樂，故衣裾塑造線條亦如佛光普照，規範優美。造像整體渾然莊嚴，充滿動人的力量，仰望之令人倍感信心。

此尊坐像選用材質為石灰華，石灰華屬沈積巖,在堆積過程中,自然形成許多風蝕過的小孔，作者在設計中保留了這些小孔,以還原時光流逝的痕跡。

Bhaisajyaguru, as the hierarch of the Eastern Pure Land, is the Buddha who rescues all living creatures from diseases and sufferings. Folks often pray to Bhaisajyaguru for removing ill fortune and realizing longevity.
This sculpture by Jiangjiaban presents a solemn Bhaisajyaguru wearing a low-collar wide-belt kasaya on a square pedestal in full-lotus posture with his right hand grabbing some herb and the left holding a bowl for pestling medicine. The Buddha features an amiable countenance, natural expressions, slightly uplifted rahotsu (conch-like curls), and a stout body. He lives in a realm where the land is floored by crystal colored glaze and the towers and palaces are built by the seven treasures. The land is majestic and blissful, and the drapery and lines of the sculpture are endowed with order and grace. When you look at the sculpture, the solemnity and power within it is the source of your confidence.
